Fwiw, I converted mine using a cute q70 motor, hailong battery and standard peripherals. I use it for daily shopping (car no longer required) , commuting, and just for fun.
I absolutely love it and I'm about to convert a second one for my wife.
DIY kits have their advantages if you're prepared to put in the work, but whatever route you choose I'd say go for it, you won't look back
