Having striped my lower fork legs down last week I now have them stripped to bare aliminium for re painting, the problem I now have is that inside each leg there is a set of liners which guides the top legs.
I am having them painted at a car and bike repairer/sprayers but because they bake them after spraying the temp will melt the plastic liners inside rendering them ruined
Is there an easy way to remove these as they are an inner circular insert with the cream coloured plastic lining on the insides of these inserts.
They are only pushed in but are such a tight fit probably been tapped home with a special tool but as for removal they seem stuck there solid..............any help on this much appreciated
