The crank is a bit like removing the stuck boss, but on a bigger scale. Make sure you have the correct tools for the job before you start.

Mine are jammed on tight too.

Each pair of gear levers come with new ones, but I've never used any of them because there's no point in wrecking the paint just to get perfectly good original ones off for no reason. I've always assumed that they've been jammed on bosses choked with paint, because that's what the LBS did with all the other paint-choked stuff when they replaced the frame. I had to replace all the screws because they damaged the threads by forcing them into holes full of paint.

Pedals loosen towards the rear of the frame, bottom brackets loosen (generally) towards the front of the frame.

'Ere we go again....... With the spanner in what position? RH pedal has a RH thread, so if looking towards the centre of the bike turn the pedal axle anti-clockwise with the spanner to undo it. LH pedal has a LH thread, so looking towards the centre of the bike, turn clockwise to undo. Driveside bottom bracket cup turn clockwise to undo. The Non-drive side cup turn anti-clockwise to undo.

Thanks, though unfortunately my bike is an early one, orange decals, which are not available, I'd have to have some specially made, there's a local sign writer I've used who could probably make something up. Though the more I think about it I'm not too bothered, maybe an incognito bike would attract less attention when left!
