I bought a cruiser several weeks ago and, as with all new bikes, I swap the twist shifter for a trigger shifter. However, I had changed the bars, too, and the trigger shifter wouldn't fit within reach because of the curve of the handlebar. So I put a top mount trigger shifter on it. I like to be able to finely tune the shifter, on the fly, but it didn't have an adjuster. This morning I put a cable adjuster on it, and wondered about how it would attach to the shifter. I soon found out. Fortunately, I had a coil of shifter cable housing. One inch of that and two ferules, and it went together nicely.
I knew I'd need a new three-meter cable (standard cables won't reach), and it was a gold one. I think Mr. Trump would be happy to have it on his bike.
