I have 3 pairs on the go at present,Chiba Gel,Prendas Deluxe and Giro Monaco. The Giro are perhaps the highest spec and the most expensive[£40] and are indeed very good gloves which improve with use[,indeed there is a review in Cycling Active this month],they certainly made a difference to the bar buzz I used to get in my hands from time to time and the grip is excellent as is the fit.The Prendas are lighter and the grip is more uniform across the palm but very comfortable and practical.Chiba make military spec flight gloves and whilst the oldest[3 yrs] show minimal signs of wear and at £14.I suspect were wrongly priced, they have a leatherette gel palm and if a fraction big, are excellent.Having 3 gloves to choose from seems good, I hope you find a pair to suit you.

My left hand and wrist look especially ridiculous as I wear a watch while cycling too. I also have lines on my upper arms and thighs.

And ... ?

Welcome to the panda club. My hands are white, my arms brown and above the elbow white. Ditto legs.

It was Specialized legal department. Once the big boss of Specialized got wind of it he pulled the injunction, even going to the store to apologise in person.
Big boss should have made sure it didn't happen in first place, and should not have waited until he go a letter from Fuji before getting involved.

Well its sorted to everyone involved satisfaction.
Until the next time the Spesh legal department get a boner for some small fry. They've got form. Café Roubaix wasn't the first time they've gone all "Corporate America" on someone small's ass.

My favourite mitts are Louis Garneau Aerogel ones. Good padding but not that thick, which I think is why they are the most comfortable for me. Nice mitts and currently on clearance in Evans at half price
Good to know - I have a pair of their "Zero Calory" mitts that I like a lot, I'll have a look at the Aerogel.

I road 70km today without mitts. I forgot to put them back on after a coffee stop and then thought it weren't too bad to ride without. Sure enough, after a bit I thought no more about it.

I don't think it'll become the norm though.
