some time ago I purchased one of these mirrors http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bike-Eye-...030433?hash=item20d563a3a1:g:h54AAOSw7ThUkBbB
i thought at the time it was a great idea having the mirror out of harms way fitted to the frame BUT what I didn't like and couldn't get used to was having to take my eyes off the road to look down at the mirror, not safe imo.
So i had a bit of a think and then took the mirror apart and discovered it was fully reversible left to right and the mirror could go on the mount either right way up or upside down, i then attached the fitting bracket to my right hand side handlebar and mounted the mirror upside down on the inside of the bar to avoid damaging the mirror when storing the bike in my shed, it works a treat and now i can look past my right thigh and get a better view of the road with just a glance at the mirror.
I can still go down on the drops and reach the brake without fouling the mirror.
I thought i would post this in case anyone else was thinking they had wasted their money on one of these mirrors.
