Our internal Ethernet wiring was wired up for phone use only, ie, 2 wire. Pretty pointless with BT phasing jn the analogue phone shutdown. It onky took me half an hour to rewire them all for full 4 wire ethernet - the wires were all there, just not connected. No need for WiFi extenders or the like.

Wired connections throughout the house where possible. Local wireless access points. Wired connections to devices that require larger bandwidth (PCs, games consoles etc). Wireless is fine but it’s slow and extenders can halve it and halve it again. Fine for phones, smart speakers, internet browsing etc. but if you use computers with a NAS or work with large files across a network wired is far superior.
