Just checked back on the CRC page.

Those Cubes are compacts too, which is good news.
The Fulcrum 77 wheels are good stuff, not top end but decent wheels. Schwalbe tyres are decent.
Usual own brand stem, bar & seatpost will do the job just fine & most companies have their own brand finishing kit nowadays, nothing wrong in that.
Selle Italia saddle, all looks good.

You could also have a look at Paulscycles at other makes like Giant & Cannondale, you can get big discounts there but not 0% finance.

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/cube-agree-gtc-road-bike-2014/rp-prod114089 - this isn't the compact model...are you looking at a different page?

I can vouch for the Cube bikes in my experience.

I have a Cube Peloton Pro running a full 105 set up and it is a great bike for the money. I did look at the Agree but felt that whilst it was a great bike/package, it was too much bike and £££ for me at the time (it was my first foray into road bikes and there was no guarantee of my sticking at it !!)

I have a 56cm frame and I'm 5'7". I fitted a slightly shorter stem but apart from that it fits well. (I tried a 56 in the Agree and that was an equally good fit) Not sure on your height to see how this compares to my experience or location but I'd always recommend sitting on the bike you intend to buy rather than buying blind and then finding out the size is a compromise for you.

I'm 5ft8 so by the sounds of it a 56cm frame is going to be a good fit...but I'll try to size one up before I make the purchase. :okay:

I'm five eight and use a 51cm frame with a shortened stem.

Really, do not buy size based on advice here.

You smaller guys have it lucky in cycling I think.

Generally you weigh less & as your bikes are smaller they weigh less too.

No wonder I am always puffing & panting at the back on those hills.

That's surprising Tin Pot.

What bike are you riding ?

Most shops & people who have bought Cubes recommend a size up from there 'normal' frame. So a 56 Cube measures up like a regular 54 (small/medium) & the 53 measures like a 51 (small).

I would have thought that *generally speaking* a 56/54 frame would be ideal for a medium height fella of 5 '7' or 5 '8'.

Spot on @SteCenturion

@Tin Pot . I agree and that's why I advised he sit on a bike to check.

Cube do size remarkably different to the "norm". I'd be on a 51/52 in another brand but these are way different for some reason. I sat on the bike and (paraphrasing) said to the guy in the shop, yes that feels good and he said yes it fits you well and your posture is good. What size is it? Let me check....

It's a Cinelli Experience, geometry above. I've since had a Retul based fit from a reputable store and it's pretty much right on for me.

And medium height is 5'11"

Guys I'm throwing in a curveball here, need your help with regards to analysing specs...

http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FBPXSL...carbon-shimano-ultegra-6800-classic-road-bike

that's pushing my spending up but they offer a good 24 month finance package that'd make it doable. What are peoples' thoughts? I know it doesn't have the flashy brand or quirky looks but full carbon and I haven't seen any bad comments on the net so far...

EDIT: feel free to ignore this, just seen a few threads on here about them!
