So, do you reckon I could switch this cassette and use it on my 9 yr olds bike (currently single speed cog) - he keeps moaning about not having gears.
Revamp this ?

I really can't see why you'd go to all that trouble to remove all the functionality and flexibility the gears provide - surely your mrs would like the ability to get up hills as necessary..?

Not just hills. Some days can be VERY windy and its no fun in a headwind if you can't change down!

If it had cantis or v-brakes, it would make an OK pub bike. Failing that - can't see any redeeming features, other than price was right
