Reynolds 501 hybrid frame; kickstand crushed chainstays. Scrap or keep?

A few years ago I bought a 501 Raleigh, less wheels for £10. It was battered and bruised

I dived into wheel building and constructed two roundish wheels.

That turned out to be one of the most enjoyable bikes I've ridden, largely because I had no fear of it being stolen.

It’s a great feeling riding something that handles well but doesn't leave you sweating about theft every time you go inside for a pint. Leaves the pride and joy safely tucked away at home, too!

Absolute legend! Proper test of balance and bravery, that. If this frame can manage half of that without throwing me into a hedge, I’ll consider the build a massive success! 🍻

Young, reckless and daft would be a better description! It was on a BMX!
