I popped into the store at Bluewater to ask about track framesets/bikes and was told they had been discontinued. Pointed me instead to single speed shopping bike!

I suspect their better staff once they have got a bit more experience could even get jobs working for Halfords.

Oh dear, that doesn’t bode well, I’d like to see peoples faces when you turned up at the velodrome with a weeks shopping in the basket

I'm not a track rider, but do ride fixed for timetrials. I did like the look of their fixed framesets, but now discontinued. Its very difficult finding a frameset drilled for a front brake. Guess will keep what I have.

Good morning,

These may be a little "soft" for a TT bike but they are on offer in medium (and small) with a Dec delivery date for £399.

https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/ribble-725s-frameset/

The frame seems to come from https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/ribble-urban-725s/ a fixed wheel flat bar "town" bike, so may be end of range and not going to be replaced.

They are 725 main tubes but not sure about forks and stays, when sold in another similar configuration, but possibly different stays, https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/ribble-endurance-725-frameset/ it has CF forks and road bike rear ends and the frame weight is specified at 2,100g which would suggest to me 520/generic cro-mo stays and in this form it is £799 !

Bye

Ian
