Queen Creek. In the mountains just east of Phoenix, Arizona which is geographically the north eastern Sonora Desert.
Had to wade across this usually dry creek. Water was reasonably fast flowing, about 30cm deep.
Two days ago after an overnight torrential downpour it was a raging torrent. Or so I was told.

Wild flowers carpet the hillsides shortly after spring rains. Apparently this year's display is exceptional.

Eastern end of Mogollon Rim road (Forest Rd. 300) just north of Payson, AZ. Local forest rangers were preventing anybody, including pedestrians from access. Which was a real blow to my intended route 😔

Crackerjack Rd. near Payson, AZ. Another road closure 🙁 Spent a few minutes moving gravel and rocks to create a narrow pathway.

Burro Creek Rd. But I wasn't expecting to ride in the actual watercourse!
Highway 93. The old road. Current 93 has been subsumed by Interstate 40.
