Rider brand ??

Went to have a look at a "Rider" branded bike this afternoon that was advertised locally .

Can't find any info on it . Only stamping was 54 on the underside of the bottom bracket shell which equated with the size .
Headset was "rider" branded and had the same decal . Seat post was 26.4 . Bike was fitted with a mix of rsx and 105 running gear .

Not extra light or fancy lugwork but didn't look too shabby .

That's an interesting one Martin. Looks nice and with a rider branded headset. Let's hope somebody is familiar with the brand and can supply some better info.

Never heard of or seen one before, but that frame looks pretty racy with the short chainstays and fork crown. I much prefer the Royal TBH, looks more "vintage" and understated.

There are a few knocking about here in Brussels, most similar to the one you saw @biggs682 , late 80s/ early 90s looking paint jobs, well made and a mix of mid range components. All the ones I have seen are steel but there is a Rider” rebadged TVT for sale not so far from me.

Ohh and they do shoes as well, would go with the bike

Not listed anywhere as a manufacturing company so maybe a shop which has rebranded another make?

I like the tapered roller bearing headset. They used to last forever with no brinelling on the crown race.

I honestly don’t know. I have not seen them in any list of manufacturers. My best guess is that they were a bit like the old “Freewheel” a brand connected to shops but I gave no proof of this.
