Personally I don't see the body count from corona that would indicate it's all the black plague it's being made out to be. That said I do like the whole mask thing, not so much for viruses but because it plays hell with the whole surveillance state that has sprung up around us. Cameras watching us every where we go now. I'd recommend just getting a much looser woven fabric like a coarsely knitted yarn that won't interfere so much with your breathing. It'll look the same as a lot of masks but won't really restrict air flow. I like the neck warmers that you can just pull up because they give you maximum concealment form cameras and protect your privacy.

67000 dead from it in the UK alone John. No it's not like the black death as we are smarter and have better medical treatments. It's not to be taken lightly.
I've never felt the need to use a mask on the bike and I believe that it's a very low risk category anyway.
Really not done much shopping this year in person but if I was in town centres I'd be wearing a 2 layer mask at all times.
We've had two deaths in the family so far and we aren't out of the woods yet. Be careful out there.

after WWII, german citizens were forced to go see carnage first hand in order for them to believe it. maybe that's what's needed again? nurses are reporting that the dying are denying it's real, claiming they will recover & go home & then they die

The "mass graves" in the Bronx, are unclaimed bodies the site has been in use for over a hundred years and buried bodies in the exact same way. Iran probably has mass graves all over the place , it's Iran. I know a lot of people who've had covid and recovered in a couple weeks. One was an old man who just got over a respiratory infection. He's going back to work. For 98% or so it's a bad cold those are just the facts.
