Progress this week-end;all parts on and cables routed after some swearing and scratching of head,it really isn't a good idea to fit the bb before trying to route internal cables past it:rolleyes::banghead::laugh:.

Just need to connect it all and set it up and tidy any some of the cables(rear mech one still needs cutting)which hopefully will be done next week-end.

A couple of pics to show progress;

,,,but unfortunately only on the turbo as I was unable to get out on it as I didn't really want to test ride it in cold rain.

Not sure about the Planet X cages yet and I may put the Elite ones I have on instead and put the PX ones on the PX and the light is going as I have one of the Fizik ones that sit under the saddle to try.

Still don't think the white stem looks too bad but I think I'll get a black one when funds allow.

No problem;it came in at £2,200(the frame itself was £1400) but I already had the wheels,stem and bars,I also I got the 105 pedals bundled in with the groupset and the frame included the headset and internal cable fittings.

Eventually I'll look at nicer wheels(Hed ardennes or similar hand-builts) but that will be a while yet;it's way too good for me really but it was a good opportunity to get a pro level frame at a good price and this should last me a few good years.

Why did you go for the 105 pedals, instead of Ultegra ones, when the rest of the groupset is Ultegra?

Mainly because they were bundled in with the groupset.

Wonder why they didn't include Ultegra pedals to make a full matching set?
Kinda don't make sense to me.:unsure:

I thought it was a bit strange,I presume they had some surplus stock kicking about:unsure:.

Actually gave it a trial run this morning,only to the station and a little spin around Cambridge and there's a few snags to sort;front brake is rubbing slightly and the seat post and saddle need an adjustment;just on a quick spin I like the 53 chainring and the whole bike seems to float over the bumps,think I'm going to like this:becool:.

Oh and weighed it on the (recently calibrated)work packing scales and it's dead on 6.5kgs:biggrin:.

Now comes the hard work of getting fitter to justify it.
