It was sad to hear the news this evening . I can remember my mum used to sing her songs whilst doing the housework when I was very young.

A good singer who made some fun movies .

Actually no I completely disagree, could it not be the wish of a humble person who didn't believe that she was anything special (although I believe she was) & didn't want a place erected that could become a shrine?

COMPLETELY disagree seems a tad strong since I don't think either of us knew her.

I suppose the truth will go to her (unmarked) grave.

RIP - don't think I ever saw a film of hers the whole way through but she was an interesting actress for sure.
