    Ah man, sad news indeed.
  8. Deep Purple were one of my first introductions to rock music, alongside Black Sabbath and Led Zep'. Great sounds!, they played rock music, but with a melody and meaning. They were keen on use of the organ/keyboards which made them a bit prog'rock(ish)maybe? Anyway, long live Deep Purple and Jon Lord!!

An early one of theirs for you!:becool:
  9. One more!

Is it me, or does the intro' sound like something out of one of those 60's spaghetti westerns, when the "bandidos" have come for a showdown with Clint Eastwood?:gun::thumbsup:

Lose yourself in 10 minutes of pure brilliance. Came across this because I was trying to find Ian Gillans yodelling for 3BM's Yodel thread.

My favorite Deep Purple track, the intro sounds a bit like latin american dance music, a bit like a tango.
