Deep Purple were one of my first introductions to rock music, alongside Black Sabbath and Led Zep'. Great sounds!, they played rock music, but with a melody and meaning. They were keen on use of the organ/keyboards which made them a bit prog'rock(ish)maybe? Anyway,long live Deep Purple and Jon Lord!!

Is it me, or does the intro' sound like something out of one of those 60's spaghetti westerns, when the "bandidos" have come for a showdown with Clint Eastwood?
