Sad to see that Monty Young, founder of Condor Cycles, died today.

I spent many lunch hours in Condor when I worked close by and I think Monty was still building wheels at that time although he'd have been around 70 years old.

RIP. Interesting to read about the condor mackeson team which I had never heard of. Always had the idea that that stuff was drunk by northern grannies like ena sharples and her sidekick. With cycling's supposed cleanup, time for a return of the mackeson team I think.

It is indeed sad news the Monty has departed this mortal coil, especially as Condor Cycles are celebrating their 70th year.
Monty built the wheels for my Italia that I bought 14 years back.
