Absolutely gutted.
One of my all time favourites.
Seem him live so many times I can't even remember how many.
A true legend.
Masters Of Reality
Diary Of A Madman
Two of the greatest rock albums of all time. None much better.
Well that just makes his final gigs even more poignoint, music aside I find the story on of how he stole one of Sharon's dresses (she had hidden his clothes to stop him going out), went out and got so pissed he ended up pissing (nearly) on the Alamo typical ozzy. Got banned from San Antonio for 10 years lol.
A hero from my home town and an icon from my youth.
I met him once (and lots of other Brum artists) and had a Newcastle Brown with him at the opening of Bev Bevan's 'Heavyhead' record shop, on the Stratford Rd, in 1970.
