Oh, you're not wrong. About 20 years back I was on duty at Silverstone when he sauntered up with his entourage, camel hair coat draped over his shoulders. No "good morning", "hello", or even so much as a nod he simply demanded "tell XYZ that I'm here to see them."He was a little bit in awe of himself
I've only been stopped once in 41 years of driving for speeding and that was for doing something like 37mph in a 30mph zone on an empty road,back in 1981. Yes,i had the same words said to me!he'd usually say " Who do you think you are Stirling Moss?"
I knew he raced Austin A35s, but had no idea anyone raced Humbers! I remember them as being somewhat leisurely!This is the1952 Humber Super Snipe which Sterling Moss raced in Portugal. It was also the car that took me to and from my wedding.
