Does anyone know if its feasible to fit riser bars to a Brompton S type? I'd like to replace the straight bars with ones with 5-10cm lift so the bars are at about same height as saddle (i'm 6 ft). This would bring the bars up to about the height of the bars on an M-type but with the advantage that they are further forward due to the curve in the S type handle bar stem. I guess this might require the brake and gear cables to be lengthened slightly. It should still fold OK if the risers lie in the same plane as the wheels when folded.
another option to raise the bars slightly might be to fit handle bar extensions. Has anyone tried this?
