How fat do you think I am?

That's my tactic too, a clear shake of the head to show some sort of disapproval, which hopefully others will see.I was shaking my head this morning at a few cyclists who'd RLJ'd, when the guy in the car next to me wound his window down and said 'Nice to see some of you know the rules!'
The point is not whether it was actually safe or unsafe. It is not legal and it gives law abiding cyclists a bad name....Although, he is obviously a RLJer, can you, hand on heart, say that he hadn't seen that he could do so, safely! Just being Devils advocate.
Not really worth bothering about. Eventually he will run out of luck. At that point, I would me more concerned for the driver of the vehicle that hits him. Although, they should looking for the un-expected, but we can all be caught out by RLJs.
He obviously has no conscience, no self discipline and would appear to be an arrogant SOAB.

I dislike RLJ as much as the next but close passes on a bike are dangerous. One wobble from a pothole from either and you could both be off.I tend to close pass them once the lights have gone green and casually mention that if they want to get to work quicker, they should pedal faster.
I don't disagree. As I said, playing Devils advocate. Yes, it's illegal. But unless plod is about to witness it, nothing will happen. And to be honest, plod would have to be walking towards the RLJer, to get them to stop. The point is not whether it was actually safe or unsafe. All I can say is it hasn't happened yet. Being on the right of the RLJer does give me escape space usually though.I dislike RLJ as much as the next but close passes on a bike are dangerous. One wobble from a pothole from either and you could both be off.
