Riding my usual commute, stopped in the usual place as I usually do at a particular set of lights. Lean on one of those plastic bollards, clip in ready to roll (it's an uphill start)...

Push off (arm and leg) clunk, 'oh sh1t'.....the bollard comes unbolted and topples over......

Fortunately I just manage to stay on (big wobble) and my left leg unclipped.

So be careful, even a bollard I thought was nice and secure, wasn't - it will be the railing from tomorrow, slightly ahead of the ASL.....

hahaha!

I now have a map in my head of my various routes and which bollards are loose! First time its like a right panic!

I have noticed some bollards now being replaced with these flexi-posted ones. I supposed where these ones get run-over alot it makes sense... but a right bugger to use while still clipped in at lights..

Don't mention flexi posts - fair few on my training runs, bloming shock first time you encounter one......doyoyoyoyng

PS I've got the dodgy street furniture mentally mapped as well, this is a new one...

With a proper bike, you can put a hand down to balance, instead of having to unclip at all.

I've just found a picture of BM!
