Road pedals

Hello

I've always used mountain bike SPDs on my road bike.

I was thinking I might buy some pure road bike pedals as I assume they're much lighter and seeing as I don't commute any more (84 miles from work) I usually stay clipped in for the whole ride.

What is the consensus on road bike pedals, ie what's most popular/best value/best performing?

If you stick with SPD cleats then I'd recommend these

Shimano A520, I.ve got em on 3 of my bikes and they may be single sided but so are SPD-SL and Look etc.

I'm going to buy new shoes, as well, so I don't particularly have to stick to the off-road cleats...

Look Keo or Shimano SPD-SL. Almost identical systems.

I'm using the Looks and they've been brilliant
