Little bit bored, browsing randomly on youtube. Found this video about road rage.

If there was a policeman on his bike with blues and twos would you stop or race them? They seemed to have a pretty heavy mountain bike

1 minute 45 - Police cyclist, cycling on the pavement - tutut

(I do agree with the fines for RLJers!!)

On one of the previous parts they were fussing about Red light jumpers, but not about motorbikes and cars in the cycle only bit at the front of the lights ;)

And then laugh as they start to blow out of their buts trying to keep up

I was wathcing a policcameraction prog the other day and the police man was just about to start the chase and i though WHY..

Through your decision to chase the chased car will speed up = problems - i do admire the NW police for not pursuing quite a few cases, chasing stolen cars as they only end up with big probs either to themselves or innocent members of the public !

I've seen this program on tv. I thought it was a Tonight one but it must be BBC as it has The Theakston doing voiceover. Oh and iirc of all the guys they stop for RLJs and pavement offences most are NOT wearing lycra. ;)

Tradin standards anyone

Actually now I think of it - the bit that REALLY annoys me about that video is the young girl who died. That driver got off scot (no offence to our friends over the border) free despite the CCTV showing him approaching from behind, so he MUST have seen her ir was either actually not paying full attention.

I feel bloody mad now.

Can I just say I suspect lack of concentration for whatever reason.

He would have saw her had he checked his mirrors but obviously couldn't be bothered

Hard to say downward.Im not a lorry driver so I wouldn't know.I do know that big lorries have blind spots (like we all know) though and I try and keep away from them if I can.Anyway your statement could apply to most the road users out there.

That video was very interesting. Thanks it's got me thinking.

Nah what I mean is he drove up from behind her. Therefore had he been looking beforehand he would have said to himself "cyclist up ahead, keep back as I'm turning left". ;)

The one (& hopefully only) time I've been caught out with a HGV was when I was in a bus lane and the HGV was overtaking me, saw a queue of traffic ahead and cut into the bus lane. That made me level with his cab and with railings on my left and a compulsory left turn coming up I felt very vulnerable. To be fair to the bloke he stopped quite quickly when I knocked on his cab and listened respectively when I ask him to be more carefull in future.

From the clips of the CCTV it seems the driver should have seen her, then cut across her. If she'd of undertook on the inside I would have sympathy for the driver, but it didn't appear she did.

That bit annoyed me too! Just made me think, if something like that happens to me or someone I know I'd want the person punished correctly.
