no reason not to charge him with attempted murder, this might seem extreme but romford would be a nicer place for a while

But he lives in one of the nicer areas of Romford (he lives in a dead end, so I have never been down that road, just commenting of the next couple of turnings)

At least the judge is quoted as saying:
Judge John Lodge told Cooper: "Anybody who uses a motor vehicle as a weapon goes into custody"

Ok, so the sentence will doubtless be derisory, but it's something. That basic principle should receive wider circulation. Whatever else: Hit a cyclist with your car and you Go To Jail. Period.

He really is a nasty looking ape-like brute - neanderthal almost. Doesn't look like he would have the mental ability to walk upright let alone operate a vehicle.
It's a shame that his sentence will probably be the same as some poor pensioner who's defaulted on their council tax.
One can only hope that some old lags take a shine to him and and decide he'd make a good 'wife' whilst he's in the 'big house'......bastard!

To me, his actions say he should never be allowed to drive a motor vehicle again, he is dangerously aggressive and unstable and we allow him to drive a powerful and heavy vehicle he can use as a weapon on anyone who crosses him.

I think, if that was done to me or my family, i.e a deliberate attempt to kill or main with a car, I would bide my time and consider my options of how to repay him.

What a total piece of shoot/s Freddie Cooper & his g.friend is ! ! !

I just thought, you know, he'd come off. He might have a grazed knee or something but I thought he would be able to brush himself down and carry on.

I hope Mr Rogers enjoys the thoughts of that jerk enjoying his 1st penis !!!! (when he's inside - jail)

Hear hear !!

Worryingly, the statement you quote in italics seems to have been accepted by the court if this is anything to go by ..

Quote From The Article]was found guilty of grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving at Basildon Crown Court - but was acquitted of intending to cause the horrific injuries[/B said:

I'd echo the earlier posts that he should get a lifetime ban .. though I somehow doubt he'd abide by it.

I'll agree with troisvelos here - except that a small fire in his ar$e afterwards would help purify his soul. Tosser. Let's hope justice has more guts than he does.

that whole bit about not wanting to hurt him, much, is there to avoid intent, s18 needs intent to commit gbh

s20 accepts basic intent

of course usual provisos re car apply although admitting doing on purpose should rather do for him

appalling, a life driving ban would seem to be perfectly in order

Well, he''s obviously unable to control his rage, and unable to comprehend the consequences of his actions. he has admitted as much himself.

Surely that entitles the CPS to ask not only for a prison sentence to go with the crime, but also lifelong support of a "secure mental institution" to keep him out of harms way?

It's either that or lifelong transportation to the colonies i'm afraid!

I would guess that he is on Ritalin to keep a lid on his temper/mood. Perhaps he should stay off the Red Bull in future

That's a bit unfair on Neanderthals. They couldn't help having heavy brow ridges, and actually had bigger brains than modern humans. Unfortunately for them, they were simply the Betamax of Homo spaiens evolution.

Also unfair on apes - I know chimps have their violent moments, but I think I'd rather share a space with one than this lout...
