He didn't "pick on off duty police officer" at all, one of his victims happened to be an off duty police officer - his job has no bearing on the incident nor the sentence.

yep, the punishment is much higher than other, similar cases. In fact the sentence is higher than for three drivers recently who actually killed the cyclist.

Its the wife and kids I feel sorry for lets hope she gives him hell when he gets out and as for a Barrister sheeeesh he should have just put his hands up and said he was sorry, taken responsibility for a moments anger and taken his punishment. 3yr ban is good though, wonder if he'll end up on here in 6 months as a new cycling commuter

Funny how the ''stressful environment'' is at work and on the road. It seems to be following him around. I think the stressful environment is Martin Hook. Such an environment should never be let near the roads. A brutal experience for his 2 daughters in the car, too.
