Road tyre's on Trek 3700

just changed the tires on my TREK 3700 mountain bike to continental road one's
went out this morning and knocked nearly 5 minutes off my time on the 4.8 miles i usually do , even with snow/slush on the roads and p*ssing down rain

am well impressed

Why do manufacturers fit knobbly tyres to bikes that the vast majority of buyers are going to ride on roads and not off road? I'm sure it puts many newcomers off when they find riding such a bike hard work.

Nice one. When I used to have to lock my bike up in town, I bought a knackered, black early 90s Raleigh MTB, scratched the frame up and stuck a pair of Conti slicks on it. It was totally undesirable and yet it went like a rocket!

nah i still think i prefer the look of a mountain bike to a road bike , just my opinion
