Having just watched the video I would have thought the CAA would be a lot more interested in the pilot flying a light aircraft at those altitudes than the potential hazard of the drone.

A pilot flying any full sized aircraft at a similar height would require special permission.
Just like the helicopters that followed the TdF through England last year. With certain no-fly areas observed.
