Roads around Cambridge

Weather permitting, I will be riding from Southend to Cambridge on Saturday. Route is roughly Battlesbridge, Danbury, Great Dunmow, Thaxted, Saffron Walden, Duxford, Shelford, Cambridge.

Anyone familiar with the area able to say what the roads are like now - in particular, whether they are flooded.

You should be safe from Thaxted to Cambridge. Avoid any fords though. Thaxted is a little beyond my normal travelling area, before that are well beyond.

Watery Lane between Hullbridge and Battlesbridge was closed about a week ago and with all the rain since I can't see it being open yet so you may need to use Rawreth Lane to get around it. If I go anywhere near it this week I'll let you know.
