Hello, does anyone know the approximate age of this bike? I suspect its a robin hood and it has front and rear drum brakes actuated by rod brakes which i have never seen before. The light is powered by a simple rub on wheel generator and the seat is definitely not original. I'm pretty good with dating bikes but this one has me genuinely stumped. They're selling it for 300 and I've always wanted a really old rod brake bike

Are you certain it's a Robin Hood. Unable to find a match for the frame style.

Raleigh took over Robin Hood in 1906. The fork crown says Rudge (or possibly BSA) to me, but the chainwheel doesn’t, but would have been covered anyway. Chrome plating (for Raleighs) started in 1927. My guess would be 1930s or later.
