Robocop and a monkey

Bear with me on this...

Two things I have been trying to get lately are the original Robocop on dvd. Simply because it is awesome. Also there is a remake being scripted by the guy that did The Wrestler... can I find a copy locally, nah. Can never be bothered to buy online and local shops are usually just as cheap, lol.

Secondly I had this idea for a youtube film ages ago involving a soft toy of a monkey. Now this toy needed to be about 12 inches tall and a fist sized head with long arms. Nothing locally seems to fit the bill. Found what I thought was a perfect toy today but when I examined it he had 1 inch arms... how many monkeys have 1 inch arms? Did his maker give him validamide?

I'm sure I'll find both soon, sorry for the really odd rant.

I got the original Robocop on DVD for Chr*stmas!
It's available in a anniversary edition.
Ebay is probably your best bet.

As for the monkey, you just need to extend the arms. Find someone who can sew?

The anniversary edition was the one I wanted (has an extra disc doesnt it?)

LOL the thought did cross my mind to put a toddlers jacket on the monkey and stick mittens in the sleeves, hehehe!!

Yup the anniversary edition does have the second CD which has interesting stuff on it although no input or interviews with Peter Weller?

Excellant stuff. I rather shamefully admit I first saw it when I was about 13 and it reminded me so much of Judge Dredd and other comics of similar styles. I;m hoping the remake will be just as dark and epic, unlike the sequels

Well, if it gets directed by Darren Aronofsky as has been suggested by Hollywood, it'll probably be darker. All Aronofsky's stuff is a bit f***ed up ie Pi, Reqiuem for a Dream, and the Fountain. Fingers crossed he goes ahead and it doesn't turn out to be like when he was tipped to do the last Batman.

Requiem for a Dream is an amazing film, its like a psychotic nightmare. How they convinced Connelly do do the last scenes I'll never know

A remake of Robocop is good idea, if they don't f*** it up. I thought the premise of the original was a great idea for a story but the film let it down rather. If they could tell the story with a bit more heart it might be really good.
