Hi
I've always hated vacuuming the house but it's a chore that has to be done.
Henry hoovers eyes are often closed after spending to long time under the stairs and the mud guards on it keep falling off 🤣
Seriously though I hate vacuuming but at the same time I'm a stickler for keeping my carpets spotless.
A good few years back I found a Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner at a car boot sale for the bargain price of £10.
The battery was completely knackered and i duly ordered a new one from the USA.
When it eventually arrived I plugged it in and was amazed at how effective it was.It was also quite entertaining watching the cat chasing it around the house whilst the dog absolutely hated the moving dustbin lid.
As it was second hand it had seen better days after a few years of use and it ended up down the local tip when it finally gave up the ghost
It was then back to the trusty old Henry again to begrudgingly used to vacuum the carpets.
Today whilst shopping in Lidl I spotted in the middle isle a SilverCrest Robot vacuum cleaner for a bargain £60.
Temptation got the better of me and I opened my wallet (and the Queen blinked on my notes) and handed over the cash.
It's not a premium brand like the Roomba but technology has moved on in leaps and bounds over the years and can say it's absolutely brilliant.
It will run for 90 minutes on a full charge and it's unbelievably quiet.
I set it off to do it's own thing whilst I went round flicking the duster around and getting my lunch prepared. After 45 minutes the living/dining room was looking good and put it away to recharge.
Sadly the dog and cat have now long gone to enjoy watching there reaction to it ,but on the positive side it's less upkeep in keeping the carpets cleaner for the vacuum cleaner.
I bargain in the making I hope 🤣

I don't mind hoovering, my Henry is well fit, having to regularly hoover cat's hair off floors and off my bed too.
I don't have carpets, only hard floors.
I even have a battery hand held for on the spot cleaning, or on top of places the Henry can't reach ^_^
Is the robot hoover good at picking up debris from corners, under the radiators, how about behind doors?

Robot hoover are good for a quick once over but not a thorough clean. We have the Omni 10 that also mops. It’s great but takes a while and we use it as an in between clean.

It's surprisingly good at getting up to the edges and underneath radiators as the side brushes will pull debris out from them.Corners not so great but it's not too bad.
It will never replace a conventional vacuum cleaner for deep cleaning but I think it's great for just every day use at getting the worst off your floors ( plus I think your cat would love it too 🤣)
