But I'd settle for a standard G6120
It'd have to be the Vintage Orange Lacquer (2nd from right, top-row)

I used to have this, many years ago (wanted a Gretsch back then too, but couldn't afford one)

Talking of footwork OT, how's your foot doing these days?
Pretty good. The bones welded themselves together really quickly, but the ligaments were faintly buggered. I've been back on the bike for about a month now but I don't want to risk any rides longer than about fifteen miles just yet. It's a bit sore but getting better slowly. Thanks for asking.:cheers:

Well, the guitarist thread came down fairly heavily on the side of Knopfler, and there won't be a second vote just because some Clapton fans may not like it.

Which brings is to this weeks Rock and Roll poll.

Discuss.
Strat = wannabes
Les = extra wannabes
Tele = old wannabes
SG = actual rocker :becool:
It depends what you want it for.

SGs are the ugliest, most wrong-looking thing ever made out of wood and stuff.

.
Who cares? It's the sound coming out of it that matters.

Which is exactly what rock is about. You can keep your grinning, side stepping, smart haircut, suit wearing, Shadows and pretty boy hair bands - we’re talking about sex, drugs and rock n roll.

Fender Jazzmaster as favored by Tom Verlaine and J Mascis.

Telecasters cut through nicely.

A Les Paul is rich, heavy (tone and weight) and great for the blues.

I'm currently enjoying owning a Gretsch. Doesn't give you a lot of options, but what it gives is niiiiice.
I had a Tokai 'Telecaster' for a while, back in the mid-late 80's (after the Hofner)

Did anyone else see this, when it was on TV?
I think I saw it, on the 'SKY-Arts' channel, about how he got that sound (from about 00:20)

Mark Harmon plays a Telecaster, in this band (still touring after 30+ years)
