Most definately +1

I hated Roy Keane, mainly because he played for United but I still respected him for the way he conducted himself (most of the time)!

CR has not shown one endearing quality on or off the pitch.

Got no respect for a bloke who deliberately cripples an opponent ( Haaland) and then brags about it.

Well I had forgotten about that incident when I wrote it and have since been reminded a few times.

I did say "most of the time" in my defence  Of course I dont condone that kind of behaviour.

Dicks...awful awful player,

2 things come to mind with Dicks
1: His stamp on the head of Johnny Spencer which was downright nasty
2: Zola absolutely turning him inside out, embarrasing Dicks for what he was, a one dimensional player.
Aparently Dicks is a cracking golf player now.

Yeah, Julian Dicks was a cult hero at West Ham. I never shared that view - typically he would miss one third of a season through injury, and another third through suspension. Mind you, he was a brilliant penalty taker.

In fairness, Zola embarrased quite a few players in his career! Actually, I don't think he was a bad player, but as you say, rather one-dimensional. And nasty at times.

Which was my point, worshiped by hammers fans, as Vinnie Jones was, Keane was, Souness was the list goes on....

They all have moments in there career that would have made them see the inside of a jail cell off the pitch so why were they followed so faithfully?

Yes, I am as bemused as you are. What I find really frustrating is that Keane & Souness were both great players - they could have been hard without being thugs.

I am also at a loss to explain why violence on the pitch is treated differently to violence off it.

Yes its crazy, someone causes trouble and you give them a few dry slaps and/or break one of their bones and its either ABH or GBH (can never remember which one is which) on the football pitch the police dont get involved, most of the time broken bones are accidents but sometimes its not and it is obvious as usually caught on at least one camera.

I hate Souness (or penis as he was fondly known up here) during his time with the scum

After ronaldos will he / won't he go shenanigans in the last summer transfer window I reckon Ferguson will be glad to see the back of him, and thank you very much for the £80 million to get shut of him.
Thinking you are bigger than the team doesn't seem to be appreciated, ask Beckham.

It now appears taggart had no say in this and the deal was done last year with ronaldo demanding to go but agreeing to stay one more season.

800 million in debt, lost the champions league final ,lost out on winners revenue ,Ribery priced at 60 million and ronaldos fee wont even cover the interest on the glazers debt......not looking good !

Liverpool ain't doing too well on the financial front either. £42 million loss this year.
When the financial figures were published earlier this year it revealed that the mighty Tigers were the richest club in the league on the basis that the club has next to no debt and is quite financially sound not relying on the deep pockets of wealthy owners.

Hehe - the word kaka (ok, actually spelt caca in Spanish) means poo or shoot.

I can't see many Real Madrid fans having that printed on their shirts!!

I don't suppose there's much chance of him wearing the number 2 shirt...
