Rose Zeon- alloy or carbon?

I'm sure it'll be fine, I've probably just been unlucky. The Ultegra 11 speed is flawless in operation and imo far superior to the Campag Centaur that was fitted to my Wilier.

It's here! Much too early to pass judgement, but the ride feels much like my (alloy) Ribble 7005SL. Not soft but no harsher than I'd expected. In fact maybe a softer ride at the back than I'm used to. Verdict on the saddle after a few/lot more miles. Initially feels fine - bit slippery perhaps?
Ordered on the 16th. Notified last Friday that Rose was shipping it, Monday evening it was in the hands of the carriers, Tuesday night it was in the UK, and delivered to me this morning. Not bad - 14 days exactly from order to delivery .

Edit: "- also, standard underseat bags will not attach to the monorail system either". - Pedal Bob, above. I have just fitted my Topeak medium Aero Wedge (strap version) - no problem. (In fact easier fitting than with standard saddle rails on my other bikes, where I have to fit a strap between the rails to fit the bag straps to).

Only just found this thread, I have the RS ally version, lovely bike and very comfortable over long distances, stiff and lovely sharp steering. Bit late to tell you know though

Another fan of the alloy bike. Light, stiff, comfy, really not that bad on rough roads. I wouldn't change it for anything

haha - well the price difference isn't huuuuuuge, and as has been established in several threads here, the more expensive something is, the faster it will go! Would be good to see some photos and get a ride report on the bike after a few more miles!

Less than 100 miles on the Xeon CRS so far, on dry roads only. Been avoiding the wet and mud. Still surprised at just how light the bike is and how It feels it just wants to go faster than my other bikes. Haven't detected very much difference in the ride compared with my alloy Ribble 7005SL, so fears of the harsher ride predicted by some seem unfounded. No problem fitting a Topeak Aerowedge bag to the monolink saddle either, and so far very happy with the saddle too . So far very good. Impressed by how everything was perfectly set up straight from the box, even carbon assembly paste in the seat tube awaiting the seat post. German thoroughness! More later .......

@ youngoldbloke how are you finding your bike and do you feel there is much of a difference in feel between your Rose carbon and your Ribble alloy?

Still much as my post above, not many miles on it as yet. Still in the 'new bike don't want to get it muddy' phase, but it was a joy to ride it during the recent dry spell! Bike feels very, very eager. I don't think the ride is any harsher than the Ribble. I'm fine with it. Longest ride so far around 65 miles. Became 'aware' of the saddle. The monolink seat post and saddle are very light, but have the disadvantage of very limited saddle choice. However I managed to source a standard Ritchey clamp for the seatpost in case I want to fit my usual saddle at some point. Early days.
