Is there any pitfalls to putting rotation tyres on the wrong way round? A 'friend ' had a puncture about a month ago and put the tyre on the wrong way round but only noticed today when sat next to his bike at a cake stop and happened to glance at the wheel.
In other news today I went out on a ride and had a cake stop ;)

If there is a rotation arrow shown it's put on for a reason, usually designed to work best in the direction shown. Wrong way round = more rolling resistance and less grip, probably. Best thing is try changing it round and see what difference there is. Generally I agree with Smokin JOe, the most important thing is getting all the cake eaten!

I suppose in theory the manufacturers would say it causes more drag, less grip and displaces water less efficiently, (if it has a tread), but in reality I'd 100% agree with Ian ^_^

Tread is only applied to road cycling tyres as a marketing gimmick. With the width of the tyre, there is no need for water displacement, unlike, for example a car tyre. Bike tyres do not aquaplane.
