Can anyone suggest accommodation half way between Rhayader and Aberystwyth?

Not been for a fair few years but have stayed at the big hotel in Devils Bridge a couple of times and found it charming if a little tired. If you do it is definitely worth paying the couple of quid for the turnstyle and walking down to the bottom of the gorge. The steps are steep and treacherous! Also on the other side of the road is another turnstyle for the path to the Devil's Bridge.

Just checked, The Hafod Hotel appears to have had a massive investment and looks a bit flash now!
