Route Advice Manc - Sheffield

Hi,

Planning to ride from Manchester to Sheffield tomorrow via bakewell, does anyone have any insightful comments into the proposed route? I've mainly let strava decide the route for me....

Looks OK. I have done South Manchester to Sheffield but wasn't going via Bakewell and was heading for Hunters Bar. So took a more direct route and not as far to the south. I went up the A6 and then cut through to Whaley Bridge then on the old road to Chapel en le Frith. I suspect there are a few sharper climbs around New Mills the way Strava has plotted it, but it is avoiding the busy A6 option. The ride I did is here https://www.strava.com/activities/359619209 but probably doesn't help much with the route you are taking.

At least you can 'refuel' in Bakewell.
