Route suggestion

Hi,

I'm cycling from work this evening to Rubery.

Any suggestions for a good route other than the Bristol Road?

Perhaps the canal to Kings Norton then cut across?

Good idea... Thanks, I've ridden the Rea Valley Route once (coming back from Birmingham Skyride) and came off at Fordhouse Lane. You know if it's signposted well after that point?

Any idea where I can find a decent set of directions...

Reasonably well signposted. Look out for wooden ones as well as metal ones. Pretty well looked after too - if it turns to soil and overhanging branches, you've missed a turn or a bridge.
I'll be joining the route in Digbeth, and leaving on Dogpoo lane ('l' is missing again).

I'm leaving New Street in about 15 mins... joining by the Mosque...

Looks like Route 5 goes all the way to where I need to go - (Holywell lane, Rubery) can't find any decent printable directions anywhere so hope the route is signposted alright....

I'm on an old green Ridgeback hybrid.

Quite a few stops and starts and lost the route right at the end so went on quite a bit of a diversion...

Yeah, nice, tried but couldn't stick to the 5mph limit through there...

No one is admitting to painting the 5mile/h limit. So we are claiming that it refers to NRN route 5 instead.
