I wonder if the van decided to undertake on the bus lane, but missed the lights because you were overtaking the other cyclist approaching the second set of lights. He wanted you to hug the gutter so he could force his way through the junction.
BTW - my previous post on reflection is a bit unfair to Royal Mail drivers. I am sure that many of them are fine upstanding drivers, it is just I have seen some shocking driving by some Royal Mail vans in the last 18 months.

Cab said:Lots of them here in Cambridge. Generally speaking they're courteous cyclists and a pleasure to share the road with. The blokes in the vans are dreadful though.
