Does the video actually show evidence of the van in the bus lane though? The bus lane appears to end at the first hatched junction after the right signalling van appears. The left hand lane isn't a bus lane beyond that hatched junction. When you look round behind you at the van, it isn't a bus lane any more.

It's the second van pulling out of the junction that drives in the bus lane. The only way he could be right behind me at the junction where i stop and turn around is by driving up the bus lane.

I don't think you'll have much luck either as the vid is not too clear. However, if the driver does this sort of thing often, you might well help support other cyclist's previous (un-recorded) complaints by now having a video.
Exactly, i'm not expecting much but if someone has a word with him then hopefully he will think twice before doing something like this again!

Gaz, the video doesn't really show anything that is reprimandable, however it is worth complaining to the fleet manager and local depot nevertheless. Something may happen. If you don't complain, nothing will happen. The cyclist at about 1.30 at the junction on the left looks like he/she was aware of the situation - potential witness perhaps?
Again my thoughts exactly.

There were 3 of 4 cyclists in front of me that turned around to have a look, only because me and him were making rather a lot of noise!

YOu can still make a complaint without a video. I got a very positive response from the local bus company when I did just that.
I'm hoping so, i still haven't had a response from the national express with a bad overtake from one of there drivers.

Lots of them here in Cambridge. Generally speaking they're courteous cyclists and a pleasure to share the road with. The blokes in the vans are dreadful though.

In our village, our local postie (on his bike) saw my wife and myself at the back of our car with a dead washing machine we were trying to load - "want a hand?" and he pretty much lifted the thing in for us on his own!

So, I second the "not all posties" message above.

You dont need the video to complain. I had cause to complain (for only the second time in my life) a couple of months back when one of their van drivers forced his way through between me and the traffic island I was navigating. He made contact with my elbow as he then turned an immediate right.

I didnt have the van details but did have the time and roads and a driver description. They emailed me back with an apology and said he'd been spoken to.

Vast majority of the staff for RM and Parcelforce are brilliant around here tbh. Its pretty rare that any of them act like d***s towards me or other cyclists that I know of

Chap, Adam Crozier gets thousands of letters a week. This one will go in the round file.

Well then he will have another to add to the list. It would also help if it is recalled later, and one has the receipt. I speak from experience.

Don't forget to write to the Police or some other relevant effectual authority!

On the other end of the spectrum we have this

If they drive like this against other lorries, us cyclists stand no chance!

Jesus. That could all have been very easily avoided if the RM driver a) hadn't been such a c**t, and  had backed off his (probably a him) speed limiter to let the other truck in. My guess is that the white truck had pulled out to let the RM driver onto the motorway at a junction, then been left high and dry in the middle lane. There's no excuse at all for the RM driver, though.
Anyway, as you were.

Write a polite but firm letter to Adam Crozier, CEO of Royal Mail, detailing exactly what happened (dates, location, critical exchanges - the letter mustn't be emotional). Clearly mark the letter as 'STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL', explain that you expect a response in 7 working days, and that you intend to take further action. Don't forget to send it at least by Recorded Delivery.

And whilst you are at it, you might as well report it to the police (once again by letter and to where it is most effective) within the week.

Don't forget to mark your envelopes "Complaint about Royal Mail drivers". That should ensure speedy delivery.

Without going completely off topic, this video is really shocking. I have never driven a lorry, but it looks like the white truck made a mistake and cut into the RM lorry, who decided to exact revenge and broadside it using the hard shoulder. I noticed at the edge the screen, a car in the middle lane move swiftly to the outside one, which was good reactions from the driver as seconds later the white truck swerves to avoid being struck by the RM van.

I have an illogical dislike for RM four wheeled transport since seeing some really malicious incidents in the last year or so. One where a cyclist (cycling too close to parked cars) got pushed into a parked car by a RM van, and another incident where, incredibly, I witnessed 2 RM vans having a race through the Blackwall tunnel where, not only did they cut up other vehicles crossing lanes at speed, but they actually made contact with each other a couple of times as well. What a laugh.

So I googled Royal Mail Bad Driving, and got onto a truck driving forum, who seem to hold some of their drivers in as much contempt as I do!

Nope, that'll just ruin the fun. Leave it unmarked and he'll think it's another bonus
