I hate them! I absolutely hate Royal Mail! They have lost ANOTHER of my parcels! One of their idiots put a card through my door last Thursday, followed by another card two days later without a tracking number on, so I used their 'book a redilivery' service asking them to leave it at my local Post Office, with them saying a confirmation email would follow my requested booking. They didn't send that email, so no surprises to find the idiot's didn't leave my parcel at my local Post Office! They are the shittiest parcel delivery, supposed service out there!🤬

Royal Mail's tracking is shoddy to the point of useless. Yodel have by far the best tracking i've come across... but it's rare i get something sent via Yodel.
Evri hid a package in my garden yesterday. They told the seller where they'd put my parcel, but not me
I agree. I waited almost a month for something ordered from e-spares. Then they sent it by Royal Mail Tracking 'No signature'. Royal Mail left it on the doorstep without even ringing the bell. As far as they were concerned, they had done a satisfactory job by taking a picture of it sitting unsecured. I only found it when I eventually had to go out having little idea when it would arrive. There it was propped up by the doorstep! Have a medal, e-spares and Royal Mail!!!

Hopefully they took my parcel back to the main sorting office for around here, which is in Blackburn.

I have a hospital appointment at Blackburn hospital tomorrow so I'll go to see if they have it there. There's no point phoning their supposed helpline as It says on answering that there's a 20 minutes wait to talk to someone. I've just been reading about how to go about making a claim if Royal Mail were to leave your parcel on your doorstep then someone steals it. It said that you must contact the seller if the parcel doesn't get delivered as they are held responsible up till you receiving your parcel or letter, not Royal Mail. I did email the seller of the item yesterday asking if they could chase it up for me, but so far they haven't replied. Unlike Atom Retro did the other month when they were very helpful, eventually getting Royal Mail to send their parcel to my nearest Post Office for me to collect.

I generally get a good service from my postie but recently had a package left propped against my front door, visible to everyone who passed.

The message I got was :

"We delivered your parcel today, Wednesday, 10 June 2026.

We left it in your Safeplace:

Outbuilding"

Not only have I never specified a safe place to Royal Mail, I was actually home when the postie left it. He didn't knock the door or ring the bell to at least give me a clue.

This is the 'proof of delivery' photo of him about to dump it at the front door, nowhere near any outbuilding.

You know things have got bad when you see it's coming by Evri and breathe a sigh of relief! (Our local Evri lady is lovely)

You are damn’ lucky. Our local Evri driver never, ever, ever delivers here. Always makes some pathetic excuse like “Item larger than expected [eg a set of bicycle brake blocks] - a special courier will be needed”, or “Addressee refused delivery” [as if]. If I get wind of a parcel coming by Evri, I cancel the order. If they’d send a lovely lady, things might be different.

I've specified a safe place as being an dustbin I use for the card and paper recycling bag. I have had to do a double take before I have spotted the parcel left in it.
