The only time I ever found a single finger funny was when Jim Carey asked a colleague in "Bruce Almighty" if they liked Jazz..... then did a trumpet type gesture (with noise) ending with finger raised
I like to use a wide smile and a waggly little finger, but not everyone understands what it means.
One raised finger means the phone will not drop out of his hand when affirming his masculinity...two fingers poses a problem to 21st century boy.
Karma kebab will deal with him. You retain the high ground, Simon.
Not seen a shaken fist for years reminds me of Blakey in "On the buses"...... "I'll get you Butler!"I love this thread very Amusing. I must agree that flicking the V's is hardly ever seen any more. Never really though. It as British profanity before. Our country is becoming more And more americanised. I for one am probably one of the main culprits! but I will in the future endeavour to use two fingers or shake a loosely clenched fist!
Ohh errrr I always had Johnny down as a devoutly religious God fearing man..... Then again though he did steal a Cadillac 'One piece at a time'If you do the single finger salute convincingly, it's very effective indeed. But you'll have to practise a long time before you're as good as Johnny Cash ...

I remembered that episode after I'd posted and thought about editing it..... (with possibly) "And Just one more thing" at the beginning of the editHe was also in a Columbo where he killed a couple of woman (his wife and manager or similar) in a plane crash by drugging them and then parachuting out.
Right wrong'un there!
