Apparently, in Germany Bianchi can't shift the Celeste bikes as the colour is a 'girl's' colour.

Nice bikes...I don't mind the colour in anything else but not sure I'd want a bike that colour.

Well I certainly haven't got mudguards or panniers so I guess I'm in on the 3 rules ;). I've only just sold out and got rack and mudguards for my original bike after 5 years so it's not very likely!

This one only has a bit of celeste on it and I think it looks fantastic!
Agree it's too much in the full green/ blue whatever, but like this, well where's my chequebook...
bianchi

I might have been inclined to agree with the OP (Bianchis should only be available in Celeste) but i saw a chrome plated Bianchi Pista locked up in London recently and it was lush.

That is acceptable, just enough Celeste.

If celeste is that pukey turqoise colour then you should be paid to ride it!!!

We can't take fashion advice from someone who uses butterfly bars xx(

Oh and no pannier here, but I do use a mudguard (rear only) when it's rainy.

But it's a white one and comes off when dry.

a white mudguard RJ? That's very counterintuitive? You'd like my non CC cycle friend who is as odd as you in the style stakes! Though for most of us, it probably isn't about 'style'. Except maybe MacB with those bars.

Think argyle, think pink jerseys just cause they're Italian and generally his bikes are purchased cause they're Italian and he doesn't know or care too much re anything else. He thinks he's Marco Pantini.

You don't happen to own a pink jersey do you RJ....?

Who's was first....

Edoardo Bianchi's bicycle in 1885, or

John Kemp Starley's Rover Safety bicycle in 1885 ?????

From the Bianchi web site

The “little blacksmith”, as he was called, moved his workshop from via Nirone to via Bertani to enlarge it. In this new working place, he produced, in 1888, the first bicycle with tyres, a recent invention by the Scottish veterinary Dunlop.

Mmm, I rather think that was a Mr Edlin in Belfast.

No pink jersey for me, it wouldn't work

And the white mudguard looks very nice on my bike, which is Celeste and white. Much better than a black one.
I don't have pics of it at the moment, although it may go back on for Friday if the rain comes, then I'll take a piccie, complete with white tyres ;)

It's one of these

Did you not notice it on the FNRttC last month?

Rule 2: they are ruined if you add metallic looking mud guards
Rule 3: they are ruined if you add Panniers :|

The Bike in front is a Bianchi, at least they didn't break rule 1

I have two Bianchis.

One is a road bike and doesn't have mudguards or pannier rack. The other is a tourer and is designed to have mudguards (it has silver ones) and a pannier rack.

So tough titties to you! ;)

What!! Of course it's about style. Though as there are a lot of people on here that have mudguards, panniers, butterfly bars etc and wear hi-viz, helmets etc I guess you may be right with that generalisation.

What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! break it to me gently here, are you saying that my bikes aren't stylish? I'm wounded, I may need consoling with pints of guiness. So that'll be one from TT, RedJ, BigSteev, TheClaud coz she's always dissing me........Teef of course coz we've got too look at an even uglier mug on him now, Mikee for making my ears bleed........I could get rather merry:biggrin:

Luckily for you lot the butterflies are gone from the bike for next week and will be gone from all bikes soon. You may now worship at the feet of the latest style, and not a hint of celeste anywhere:-
