Sad, sad news - Vernon has gone to the great Pie shop in the sky!

Very sad news indeed. I bought a Brooks saddle from him just a few months back. I shall be reminded of him every time I ride my Galaxy.

I did meet him once on one of the London Christmas rides. A true gentleman.

Shocked and saddened. As Shaun said Vernon was a larger than life character, who never seemed to have a bad word to say about anyone.

Terrible and cruel news. I never met Vernon but always hoped and assumed I would bump into him on some forum ride/pie cruise in the next few years. I can honestly say I believed he was one of the warmest, most decent and funniest people on CycleChat and certainly seemed to live life to the full. It is a tribute to the big guy that so many people have so many nice things to say about him, his friendship and his hospitality.

So unfair that his life was cut short just as he became free to really enjoy himself. May he Rest in Pie.
