Salutations from Washington, DC

Hello,

I am new to this site and am very excited to chat with like minded cycling enthusiasts. I mainly ride road now and actually went mountain biking for the first time recently, boy that was a scary yet exciting experience! I actually hadn't ridden a bike in nearly 15 years before 2010. I caught the track bug during a residential stint in Baltimore where I found myself visiting the velodrome in Trexlertown, PA most weekend. I now balance my time with riding and working at a music shop and at a bike shop. I never know what to say in these introductions. ha.

After riding for nearly 40 years, both road - geared & fixed and also MTB, I'm actually going to the Manchester Velodrome, (the home of British Cycling), this coming Friday for the first time

Georgetown is great! There are a few really great bike shops around there. Also, really great cupcakes.
