IMO the 70s was the greatest era:smile: and I am a 80s child( music wise), the 90s was so so as was the next decade and currently we are in possibly the worse era.
Born in the 60's and have music from every year that I've been on the planet (over 2500 albums), and I'm probably buying more now then I ever have at the mo. There is still a lot great music being made, it's just it'll never get in the charts.

Agree, X factor has a lot to answer for I think , would be a good show if they had to write their own material imo.

Yup, X factor, Autotune, and greedy record companies have literally killed the charts... but the internet gives bands who can't get signed, a way to bypass all that corporate crap and get their music out there. Swings and roundabouts

Turned onto X factor last week for 5 minutes , one of the judges said to the contestant " you nailed that" and I turned over lol, personally I thought the contestant "made the song his own":laugh:
