Everyone else in the house seems to have a spare body clock to use at the weekend. Me? Just the one.

Dry and clear, what else do you want for British Winter Time?

Coffee and oats consumed, ParkRun next.

Yourselves?

Morning

Bright day so far, coffee then helping clean and pull up manky carpets etc. in stepson's new house.
Moving yesterday was a bit of a sh*tshow, they got the keys at 1300, sellers asked for an hour or two longer. Got there and they hadn't emptied the house and garage, or even boxed a lot of stuff. Half their belongings were spread across the lawn and they were loading bits into their cars. We kindly took a van load round to the wife's new place , they are splitting up. We had to empty the rest of the stuff onto the lawn to leave them to continue picking up stuff.
Will have to arrange a van to dispose of the rest today. Luckily SS and wife could stay with us not too far away!

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I had planned to do lots of jobs today but so far i have managed to get up and lay on the sofa , its not as foggy as it has been the last few days so trying to motivate myself to go for a ride but the middle aged groan getting out of bed where pretty much everything hurt has other ideas till at least the second coffee has worked though the system .
Payday yesterday and all that overtime i did last month ( 55 hours paid total ) hit the bank so the tax man and mrs ck were happy so going out for a meal later but mini ck 2 is now at the high point of grumpy teen who wants to go out but not necessarily as a family so she might stay at home and sulk .
Door to trim down after the new carpet , 2 small bookcases to build and the tree to trim to get the fence straight when i can be bothered to move .

Oh dear. I think we are the other side of the peak but they still have their momenrs.

then you have mini ck 1 who is older but due to autism acts a lot younger and can be challenging to the point of driving me to tears and last week i was so low i wanted not to be here any more, mrs ck has her moments too since the series of mini strokes she has had over the years has made her irritable , argumentative and distant . I am resigned to working myself into the ground keeping everything together .

Decent lie in had after building up a bit of a sleep debt over the last few days. Car fuelled, me fuelled (with Weetabix and coffee), headed into town shortly for supplies and lunch followed by hound walk and a spot of bike prep. Footy and F1 watching may feature later.

That's such ridiculously poor form. The sellers are lucky that they're not being charged for a night's rent, your SS' moving fees, a night in a hotel and extra van hire and a short term storage rental.

Can't imagine anyone even chancing that 10 or the 20 years ago.
