The supreme commander is off shopping so I've been put in charge of cooking!!!!!

Chicken in cider (leaves a couple of portions for Monday) so caramelise the onions slightly, seal the chicken and put it one side, flare off the cider, cheat with a can of vegetable soup, a sneaky garlic clove, some slightly gone off tomatoes, break down, combine and into the oven. Prepare crispy croutons.

Down to two potatoes. I would pad it out as a boulangere, but I've developed a dairy intolerance and if I want to avoid spending tomorrow feeling as if my chest is full of wire wool, I've got to keep milk out of it. So, it's a red wine boulangere which I'll crisp up under the grill. Fingers crossed.
